Flanagan’s Towing Recognizes National Move Over Day on October 17

Every day, tow truck operators, first responders, and roadside workers put themselves at risk to help others. And sometimes, the greatest danger isn't the recovery itself—it's the traffic passing just feet away. With National Move Over Day coming up on Saturday, October 17, we want to remind every driver that a simple action behind the wheel can make a lifesaving difference. At Flanagan’s Towing, our crews respond to breakdowns, accidents, and complicated recoveries along busy roadways. While our operators are focused on helping stranded motorists and clearing the road, they also depend on passing drivers to give them the space they need to work safely.

That's why we're sharing this powerful video from Towbook, part of its national Slow Down, Move Over awareness campaign. It's a reminder that behind every tow truck is a person with family, friends, and loved ones waiting for them to come home. Watch Towbook's video below and please take a moment to share its important message. When you see flashing lights or a vehicle stopped along the roadside, slow down, move over when safe, and give those working on the shoulder plenty of room. It's not just a courtesy. It's the law, and it can save lives. From all of us at Flanagan's Towing, thank you for doing your part to protect the people who work every day to keep our roads safe. Move over. Their lives depend on it.
