Swift Response in Action

We extend our sincere gratitude to the entire Flanagan’s team for their exceptional efforts in managing a complex accident on the Jersey Turnpike this weekend. Despite heavy rush-hour traffic and difficult conditions, the team worked seamlessly to clear the scene and restore traffic safely and efficiently. Their professionalism and coordination on site make us proud. Aerial footage from CBS Channel 3's Chopper can be seen here.

The accident involved a southbound Peterbilt tractor-trailer that attempted to change lanes and move onto the shoulder to avoid stopped traffic. During the maneuver, the driver lost control and struck a Toyota SUV, causing the truck to jackknife and move forward. As the truck turned sideways, it hit nine additional passenger vehicles, creating a chaotic scene and forcing the closure of all southbound lanes during rush hour.

Thanks to the coordinated response of emergency personnel and our crew, the lanes were eventually reopened and traffic flow restored. Incidents like this highlight the importance of experience, teamwork, and clear communication during complex accident recoveries. We’re proud of the professionalism demonstrated by everyone involved and grateful for the continued dedication to keeping our roadways safe.
